Whale watching in Augusta offers one of Western Australia's top destinations for viewing these mammoth marine mammals up close. No holiday to the South West of WA would be complete without taking the time to view and photograph the abundant marine and ocean life that thrives along this magnificent coastline. Whale Watching tours provide visitors with the opportunity to view Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales, and the rare Minke Whales on both their northern and southern migrations, and on this tour you'll have two hours to witness their majesty in action.
As you watch these majestic creatures breach and frolic, you’ll be mesmerised by their agility. On this tour, you'll also be able to take advantage of boarding a vessel that carries the latest equipment so you can listen to their haunting, yet beautiful sounds. Tours depart on a daily basis during whale season which runs from May to August with cruises departing at 10am and returning at midday. We took the Morning Whale Watching Cruise out of Augusta and it was a great experience. Despite the rain and huge swells, the friendly and knowledgeable crew did their best to keep us all safe, and even extended the cruise by an hour just so that when we finally caught sight of some whales we could trail them for a bit, giving us more photo opportunities! Would definitely recommend joining this tour!
